Operations Manager

Job Summary:

As a key member of the Flashmatrix team, the Operations Manager will lead the day to day Demand Planning, Inventory, Order Management and (Reverse) Logistics activities for Toshiba’s systems products.  In addition, this role will contribute to supply chain initiatives from concept to implementation in support of Toshiba’s business objectives.  The Operations Manager is expected to bring a hands-on approach to develop and implement innovative solutions related to inventory handling, order fulfillment and logistics processes. The role is considered an Operations expert and is expected to generate and drive effective solutions and educate Toshiba on Inventory and Logistics management principles.  The person filling this role requires high-caliber interpersonal skills and will deliver executive-level presentations.  Experience leading/influencing cross-functional project teams and driving change across all nodes in the supply chain is a must.  The Operations Manager reports to the Director of Operations and Planning.


  • Develop and implement processes to drive operational excellence.
  • Partner with Marketing and Sales to ensure the demand consensus process delivers an agreed upon, workable volume forecast (mid and long term); ensuring gaps and overlaps are addressed, scenarios are completed and issues appropriately escalated to meet business objectives.
  • Champion Inventory Management initiatives to streamline processes, reduce inventory and improve service level for our customers.
  • Manage and develop (reverse) logistics initiatives to support order fulfillment and return transactions and establish and drive to key performance indicators.
  • Support, as necessary, order management, inventory management and supply optimization.
  • Develop and maintain cross-functional processes to support business requirements.
  • Produce and deliver supply chain analysis as required to support corporate reporting and ad hoc executive requests.


  • 5-10 years  relevant experience within Operations
  • Experience working within a multi-national company with geographically separate HQ
  • Experience working with manufacturing sub-contractors
  • Project management experience, with certification strongly preferred
  • Experience developing strategic process solutions including 3rd party software
  • Experience in supply chain management systems preferred (ERP, S&OP and PDM systems)
  • Fluency in inventory management, production/inventory planning and cost accounting methods
  • Proven history of creative problem solving capability
  • Strong MS Office skills, including fluency with advanced Excel skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate with all levels of the organization and with suppliers
  • Strategic approach with ability to manage detailed analysis

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment


  • BA/BS – Business Operations, Supply Chain Management , or related field
