As an SSD Test Development Engineer, you will be responsible for creating test programs and executing data collection experiments to qualify Solid State Drives. You will have a key role in developing and improving our ability to understand, verify and validate that our transformative technology products are meeting and exceeding expectations.
Our SSD Quality & Reliability Engineering team has critical responsibilities in planning the full product qualification and carrying out the Reliability Demonstration Testing (RDT). The Quality & Reliability Engineering team is responsible for proving that the product meets quality metrics as well as proving that the product meets reliability across its life span. We work closely with the Development teams as well as the business units, coordinating testing required to deliver product to the factory as well as customers.
As an SSD Test Development Engineer, you will be responsible for creating and debugging the test flows for the SSD qualification and defining additional testing to ensure our SSD products meet all customer expectations. Specific tasks include developing and executing reliability tests using standardized test platforms and software, maintaining accurate test records, data analysis and problem solving.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in EE/CE/CS or Equivalent Experience (see below)
3-5+ years' experience in systems and/or silicon validation
Strong verbal communication skills (English)
Experience with software development and debug tools (such as in-system processor probes, compilers/linkers, debuggers, source control systems, bug tracking tools - JIRA)
Experience with C and Python languages
Strong software development and debug skills
Expertise with Windows and Linux
Experience with scripting and test automation
Understanding of computer system architecture fundamentals.
Experience working with computer equipment and peripherals
Experience with data manipulation/analysis (spreadsheets or more advanced tools)
Experience with PCIE and SATA storage devices
Expertise in SATA, or PCIE protocol and debug, including knowledge of relevant debug tools (protocol analyzers, scopes, logic analyzers)
Experience with common low-power processor architecture and development/debug tools
Experience with embedded devices and development and debug of embedded systems
Experience developing and debugging code in the Windows* or Linux* environments, including driver development, validation, or debug
NAND reliability experience
NAND processes (Silicon process and CMOS cell structures)
Knowledge of storage device regression processes
Familiarity with JEDEC & JESD218 standards for SSD Endurance
