The storage software organization is a well-resourced internal “startup” within our company. Our business plans aren’t public yet.
The Director of Storage Solutions Product Marketing will be responsible for the overall Product Marketing of our new line of storage software products. This person will build and own the product launch process for a complex, partnership-driven new business, and will have ongoing responsibility for business operations and inbound marketing functions. In collaboration with other team members, this person will make important contributions to the strategic roadmap.
Define/maintain market segmentation for Storage SW products focused toward driving increased value from our company's SSD’s in the datacenter
Define market messaging & drive awareness of our software and solutions directly to data center end users, as well as hardware platform partners via product promotion, conferences, print/social media, etc.
Find and leverage opportunities for synergy with SSD marketing & promotion
Develop licensing and pricing strategies and drive implementation of licensing logistics and revenue realization/recognition processes
Drive creation of product documentation & support info (written & web) and sales collateral targeted at both end users and partners
Manage business planning activities, including revenue and investment analysis, and customer specific contracts
Collaborate with Technical Marketing and Business Development team members to identify & prioritize market requirements
Coordinate the group’s marketing activity with the SSD Marketing teams in US & Japan, as well as engineering, business intelligence, finance, and legal
