Summary We are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth in the Discrete Power Products segment, blending business expertise with technical acumen. The ideal candidate will identify new business opportunities, forge strategic partnerships, and support TAEC's expansion in automotive, industrial, renewable energy, and emerging technology markets. This role involves collaborating with Toshiba Japan's marketing and customer’s sourcing teams on price negotiations, presenting customer requirements, and managing channels, inventory, and logistics to meet evolving customer needs. Additionally, you’ll track current designs, oversee new opportunities, and manage forecasts to ensure alignment with design goals and identify growth opportunities that support TAEC's objectives. Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Forecasting: Develop business plans, strategies, and forecasts for discrete power product lines.
Customer Management: Track customer requirements and tailor solutions to meet objectives.
Demand Generation: Identify and recommend strategic growth and demand-generation opportunities.
Market Knowledge: Familiarity with consumer, industrial, automotive, and data center applications.
Pricing & Negotiation: Support pricing models and collaborate with Toshiba Japan on negotiations.
Product Training: Provide training to sales, representatives, and distribution teams.
Technical Collaboration: Work with technical teams to analyze designs, applications, and market trends.
Project Tracking: Track design progress and monitor new opportunities to meet targets and budgets.
Leadership & Team Management: Experience leading cross-functional teams, mentoring peers, and aligning sales and engineering with business goals.
Strategic Decision-Making: Ability to make data-driven decisions and drive long-term growth through proactive planning and market insight.
Requirements
Experience: Proven track record in business development within the technology or semiconductor sector, especially power electronics. Business experience preferred.
Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of discrete power MOSFET, SiC, GaN, and power diode technologies.
Market Knowledge: Familiarity with automotive standards (AEC-Q100, PPAP) and requirements for industrial and consumer applications.
Analytical & Organizational Skills: S Strong in analyzing designs, negotiating, and managing multiple high-volume transactions with a sense of urgency and the ability to multi-task effectively.
Presentation & Software Skills: Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; strong presentation abilities.
Interpersonal & Team Skills: Proven team player, self-motivated, and collaborative.
Travel: Minimum 25% domestic and international travel required.
Language: Japanese proficiency is a plus.
Education Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering.
Salary Range: $100,000 - $132,600
