Sr. Director, Sales

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will grow revenue by creating and executing on ambitious selling strategies and initiatives for NAND Flash memory lines of business in the OEM and Datacenter segment. Candidate will maintain and grow both internal/external executive relationships as well as direct staff of Directors, Sr. Managers and independent representatives. The ideal candidate will possess strategic aptitude, senior executive level communication and account management skills as well as technical depth to understand the customer needs driving alignment to our goals. This person will have relationships within procurement, engineering, marketing and business teams and will be able to communicate our value proposition to a broad set of decision makers and influencers. The ideal candidate will also be familiar with design cycles, marketing development, customer go to market sales engagement. This position will be based in either Austin or Houston TX.


  • Assist VP in developing customer and market strategies to position TMC in as the leader in NAND component and SSD lines of business.
  • Align customers in large scale IT (OEM and Datacenter) markets
  • Develop and manage Sr. level relationships internally and externally
  • Assist product management in gathering use cases, workflow requirements, and competitive landscape analysis
  • Possess a deep insight into target customers roadmap needs and desires, for existing and future, from a technology and product standpoint
  • Assist in understanding current competitive landscape within customer base, and help identify current product limitations and gaps
  • Must be a strategic and out-of-the box thinker with excellent interpersonal skills, and relationship building abilities
  • Must be able to travel, including international as needed


  • Memory component and solution-selling experience, preferably in IT market segments
  • 15+ years of OEM or Datacenter sales management experience
  • Experience managing multi-national International customers at senior levels (CPO, SVP, VP) and across multiple functions (Engineering, procurement, outbound sales/MDF, quality, marketing, etc.)
  • Successful track record of managing mid-level management (directors/sr. mgrs.) while working in a complex sales cycle and account management environment
  • Capable of understanding the complexities of memory design cycles for OEM and data center environments
  • Prior experience successfully working with engineering teams, business teams, operation teams, and senior executives
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as leadership skills
  • Must have a demonstrated ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
  • Electrical/Computer Engineering and/or other technical degree is desired
